Top comedian, John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu last week set Owerri, the capital city of Imo State agogas he celebrated his 54th birthday with pomp and panache. The superlative birthday bash, which was attended by Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, represented by hiscommissioner, Hon. Uche Nwosu, had the trappings of a five star event.Held at the posh Rock View Hotels, Owerri, the shindig had Nollywood stars, Chinyere Winfred, Offialagu Mbaka, Dauda, Jericho, Emeka Rollas, Ajebo, Kakaki, Chinyere Udoma, Dunhil as well as popular director, AdinWilliams and former John Player World Dancing Champion, Issac Chinagorum in attendance, while popular musicians like, Xbuster and Ibeh Chukwuneke aka MC Chuks thrilled the audience with their scintillating tunes.The anchorman of the event, Fred Bright, who came all theway from Abuja, was at his best as he cracked jokes thatmade the audience ask for more. Bright, along with his fellow anchorman, Xbuster, kept the audience spell bound all through the ceremony with their superlative performances.The birthday ceremony also witnessed the presentation of the Best Movie Actor of the Year award to Mr. Ibu by the Peace Ambassadors of Nigeria. Mr. Ibu’s manager, Okey Nwuzor popularly called Don Singles, did the presentation.
