Nigeria president okays extention of emagency rule in bornu,adamawa and yobe states
president Goodluck Jonathan will request the National assembly to extend the state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Ada mawa States, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation Mohammed Adoke, said yesterday.He said: “We just reviewed the issue of the state of emergency and the government will be requesting the National Assembly to extend the state of emergency,” he told State House reporters after a meeting of the National Defence Council.The meeting which reviewed the state of emergency in the states, due to end on Thursday; was presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan.It was attended by service chiefs led by Chief of Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh. Minister of Defence Gen. Aliyu Gusau and National security Adviser (NSA)Col. Sambo Dasuki.Adoke said the request will be made “immediately.”
