Drivers Who Didn't Stop For Donald Duck In Crosswalk Upset Over Tickets

Some motorists in New Jersey are angry after being issued tickets for failing to yield to a duck in a crosswalk last week. To be fair, the duck was nearly six-and-a-half feet tall.On Halloween, police in Fort Lee, New Jersey conducted their Pedestrians in the Crosswalk safety program, which randomly tests driver's willingness to stop for pedestrian at designated crosswalks. No motorist could claim they didn't see the decoy, an officer dressed in a full Donald Duck costume. Still, many drivers didn't yield to the pedestrian. One driver, Karen Haigh, says the $230 fine she and other driversreceive is unfair, and they may not have stopped because of the strange circumstances."It scared me," Haigh toldCBS New York. "It was a huge duck. If it was a person dressed normally, I think all those people would have stopped."
